In order to set up STS calls more quickly, STS NC now offers My Email Set Up, My Profile, and My STS Wireless.

Using these enhanced features makes call set-up a piece of cake!


Now, you can e-mail call instructions or information 2 to 24 hours prior to the call. This can include information such as the number to be dialed, the name of the person being called, any special instructions and the nature of the call, or anything that makes it easier for you to complete the call.

My Profile known as customer profile allows STS users who access relay through a toll-free number to submit their user preferences such as:
       - contact information
       - emergency numbers
       - conversation preferences
       - speed dial 
       - customer notes

Speech-to-Speech North Carolina (STS NC) is funded by a surcharge on landlines and wireless connections in North Carolina
and administered by the North Carolina Division of Services for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing.

Speech-to-Speech (STS) and Hearing Carry-Over (HCO) relay are not compatible with PBX system, VOIP phones or digital landlines; a dedicated landline must be used. While local calls are made at no charge, long distance calls are now available at no charge effective July 1, 2017.
